Sean Mendez, Project Manager II at Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), has spent over 40 years in the construction industry and over 14 years with AP. His extensive background ranges from working with small, family-owned general contractors to managing large-scale projects for AP. Sean is passionate about supporting MWBE firms in the industry, actively engaging in outreach efforts and fostering relationships with small subcontractors.

With 12 years of involvement in the HCC, Sean Mendez is deeply committed to the organization’s mission of supporting small and minority-owned businesses. As a former small minority contractor himself, Sean understands the challenges that MWBE firms face and is dedicated to creating more opportunities for growth and education within the industry. His work as a Project Manager II at Adolfson & Peterson Construction has allowed him to help smaller subcontractors gain access to large-scale projects, while his role in teaching HCC’s Contractor Academy courses has helped empower emerging firms. Sean’s unique perspective from both sides of the industry equips him to be an effective advocate and leader on the board, ensuring that the HCC continues to support and uplift its members.
