Aviation

The Aviation Committee's purpose is to connect HCC construction entrepreneurs to Denver International Airport (DEN) and all other airports within the State to identify current and future business opportunities. Through connectivity and outreach, the Aviation Committee will help navigate, train and foster a program for disadvantaged and underutilized businesses and entrepreneurs to successfully deliver projects statewide.

Governance

The mission of the Governance Committee is to provide leadership and support to HCC in terms of assisting in the areas of HR/staffing, including hiring, job descriptions, benefits, etc. The committee also helps with the identification of future board members as well as identifying and making recommendations on other actions as needed.

Hispanic Legacy

This committee's purpose is to ensure that "Hispanic" remains at the forefront of HCC membership, with the intent to remember the foots and historical background in which HCC was started by including and developing small, Hispanic-owned businesses in Colorado.

HCC is a strong supporter of the Latino Leadership Institute's Fellowship Program, a six-month cohort that prepares Latino professionals for elevated roles of influence in Colorado. Accepted participants can apply for a scholarship through HCC to help offset the cost of hte program.

Infrastructure

In conjunction with the Black Construction Group (BCG), this committee's purpose is to identify outgoing and future expansion project opportunities with public agencies, such as the City and County of Denver, Colorado Department of Transportation, Denver Water, RTD and others. Through connectivity and outreach, the committee navigates, instructs and fosters a program for disadvantage businesses to do business with these agencies.

Legislative Policy Committee for State & Local Affairs

The Legislative Policy Committee's purpose is to advocate and educate on behalf of diverse and certified firms on the local and state level to ensure that any legislative and purgatory initiatives affecting construction-related companies can be addressed in factual legal and beneficial manner. The group monitors and executes the strategy and tracks the results and return on investment. The committee continually communicates with the executive committee, board of directors and HCC membership and oversees communication to relevant audiences.

Marketing, Membership & Events

This committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of members through special events, membership drive and other direct outreach efforts. It is also responsible for programming monthly industry dinners for HCC. The committee offers the benefit of direct contact with clients and potential clients through requests for speakers and program planning, as well as the opportunity to drive the industry knowledge that is presented for the A/E/C representatives that attend HCC events.

Small Business Roundtable

The purpose of this roundtable is to build a broader interconnected business network that embraces all businesses—with a focus on small businesses—and encourages collaboration with a diverse group of individuals. The committee does this by continually developing strong relationships within our community—both internaly and externally to the construction industry—and in its members' personal networks to advance business for everyone.

Women in Leadership (WIL)

Women in Leadership's purpose is to advocate for women in construction and to provide leadership trainings, networking and awareness for members. The committee champions an inclusive environment to attract, develop, support and retain women in the architecture, engineering and construction industries.
