Marcy Ybarra

Co Owner, Director of Business Development, Metrix Inspection Group

Why should HCC members vote to have this nominee on the board of directors?

Marcy is a proud Hispanic contractor with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She has worked with certified MWBE firms on public-sector projects and brings deep knowledge of the unique challenges facing Hispanic contractors—from finding opportunities to partner, to keeping their workforce employed, to successfully delivering on projects.

As a co-owner of MetrixIG, Marcy is helping build the company from the ground up alongside her partner, already establishing strong relationships and proven performance with both DEN and the City. She is also a certified ACDBE, giving her valuable insight into the concessionaire model and the lucrative opportunities it presents for diverse partnerships.

Marcy is highly skilled at engineering strategic partnerships and creating business entities that are prepared to take on major projects. Her entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with her strong community orientation, makes her an ideal advocate for Hispanic and diverse contractors. As a business owner herself, she understands the complexity of running an organization and is well-positioned to offer guidance, counsel and leadership of a professional organization like HCC.

She would be a compelling spokesperson, a thoughtful leader and a tireless advocate for building capacity and opportunity for our diverse businesses.

(In her own words) Why members should vote for me:

I bring over 15 years of experience in cultural research, insights, and business development, with a career dedicated to helping organizations better understand and serve diverse communities. From leading multicultural focus groups and building cultural councils at Fortune 500 companies, to shaping strategies that increased opportunities for small and minority businesses at Denver International Airport, my work has consistently centered on breaking down barriers and fostering inclusion. I am passionate about using these experiences to support the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado by amplifying diverse voices, creating pathways for minority businesses, and driving initiatives that strengthen our community.
