Erika Anderson

Community Empowerment Manager, Mortenson

Submitted by Alexsandra Lemke, Mortenson:

Erika Anderson has spent more than a decade building stronger connections among contractors, small businesses, workforce partners, and community organizations across Colorado. As Mortenson’s Community Empowerment Manager, she focuses on expanding opportunities for small and local businesses, supporting workforce development, and creating partnerships that strengthen the construction industry. Before joining Mortenson, she held leadership roles with the Associated General Contractors of Colorado, where she developed programs addressing mental health, workforce development, contractor engagement, and economic opportunity for underrepresented businesses.

Her relationship with HCC is already meaningful. She has served as Co-Chair of the Women in Leadership Committee and continues to support HCC events, outreach, and connections with small and diverse businesses. She would bring an understanding of both association leadership and the day-to-day challenges contractors face, along with a genuine interest in helping HCC members build relationships, access opportunities, and grow their businesses.

Erika is incredibly passionate about the small business community and her energy is contagious! She is a go-getter and will be responsive to the needs and mission of HCC. She has had a huge impact on our Mortenson team: she has advocated for small business partnerships, has bridged that connection between precon and our trade partners, and has been out in the community meeting with folks multiple times per week. She is well-connected, genuine, and leads with her heart. She delivers on her commitments, builds trust with those around her, and genuinely cares about creating opportunities for others. I am confident she would be a thoughtful, engaged, and valuable addition to the HCC Board!
