His work at RTD for the last 10 years demonstrates his ability to navigate complex contracting systems, federal and state regulations, collaborate across sectors, and advocate for solutions that connect people to opportunity—whether that means connecting local and small businesses with bigger firms in relation to contracting opportunities, addressing a leveled playing field atmosphere and ensuring prevailing wages on construction contracts.
His background positions him to be a powerful voice on the board, especially as HCC continues to prioritize economic mobility, infrastructure equity, and inclusive growth. Alexis understands how construction field intersects with nearly every aspect of community life, and he brings both policy knowledge and a small business-centered approach to the table.
