Reggie Gamlin

Flatiron

Overview

I would like for the membership to give me another term in office as I have been diligently making strides to fight for their opportunities with CCD and DEN. Over the past two years, I have been a fixture of advancing our HCC members rights and fighting for change. I have consistently added value to my seat on the board by actively representing as a Co-Chair on both the Retainage Release Task Force and the Close-Out Efficiency Task Force committees to spearhead change in Retainage Release and initiating efficiencies in Close-Out Procedures. Currently, I am working on a new initiative for an “Airside Insurance” programs to eliminate barriers of access for our members as exorbitant insurance premiums restrict their ability to bid and/or access DEN’s airside opportunities. If our members chose me to stay on the board, they can be assured that I will continue to spearhead change for their benefit.

GOALS & ASPIRATIONS FOR HCC

  • Eliminate Barriers to Entry by creating a cost effective insurance program for Airside Access.
  • Continue to fight for Close-Out Efficiencies that will ultimately lead to “Early Retainage Release”
  • GET MY PEOPLE THE CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES THAT THEY DESERVE

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Brought Retainage Release Challenges to DEN’s Executive Team and created an initiative that DEN is taking into consideration and creating a better system to eliminate the extreme durations of retainage release for ALL subcontractors.
  • I was invited to participate in The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) thispast March in Anaheim, Ca. to discuss our “Lessons Learned” for MWBE participation on DEN’s Concourse Expansion Program. Lorie Moghaddam, Managing Director of J.A. Watts, expressly invited me for the TFJV’s MWBE efforts and our success in building capacity and achieving DEN’s 24% MWBE participation goal and to share our lessons learned with all of the executives of the nations largest airports.

Fun Fact: I have been able to influence contract opportunities for nearly 60 small business contractors in the Denver market for over $210m in the past 5 years.
