Alex King is a construction lawyer with deep roots in the Colorado construction industry. Growing up and working on job sites across the state, Alex developed first-hand insight into the challenges and demands faced by contractors and their project teams. His experience extends from running crews in the field to estimating and managing jobs from the office. His practical experience shapes his approach to law, ensuring he understands the realities clients face every day, and leveraging his experience to provide efficient and thoughtful advice.
In his legal practice, Alex divides his time between complex litigation and contract drafting and negotiation. He has led trial teams through complex litigation and arbitrations, and resolved numerous disputes through mediation and attorney advocacy. Beyond dispute resolution, Alex enjoys the collaborative aspects of contract work, helping clients manage risk and clarify rights and obligations through carefully crafted contract language. He has specialized in construction law his entire career.
Alex actively participates in industry organizations and currently serves as Chair of the Future Leaders Forum for the Associated General Contractors of Colorado. As an emerging leader in the construction law community, his commitment to the industry extends beyond his legal work, as he regularly contributes to industry publications, provides client training, and speaks at industry conferences.
Alex attended Colorado State University before earning his law degree through the night program at the University of Denver, where he graduated a year early and served as President of the Construction Law Society.
