I was first introduced to HCC 10 years ago when I walked into an interview at what was then a small business, Sky Blue Builders. While I had opportunities with larger firms, I chose Sky Blue the moment I learned about their involvement with HCC. From the start, this organization became more than just a networking resource, it was a catalyst for my personal and professional growth.

HCC opened my eyes to the broader movement to elevate small and minority-owned businesses. It created a platform where diverse voices could have a seat at the table, influence policy, access growth opportunities, and receive education that spoke directly to the challenges we face in this industry. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of not only benefiting from these programs, but also of giving back having helped train and mentor others through HCC’s Contractor Academy. That experience helped shape my own social mission and deepened my commitment to advancing equity in the construction space.

Now, having seen firsthand the impact that HCC can have, both on businesses like Sky Blue and on individuals like myself, I would be honored to serve on the board. I’m ready to help carry this mission forward, to build on its momentum, and to ensure the next generation of leaders, builders, and advocates continue to rise.
