Trucking Operations Manager, Iron Woman Construction and Environment Services, LLC


Mr. Moreno has more than 13 years of experience in the transportation industry with a focus on operations and client relations. He manages an Iron Woman-owned fleet of 40+ trucks and manages and implements an independent contractor’s program for a fleet of more than 100 trucks. His responsibilities include trucking operations in both Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah, driver development and training, shop integration, aggregate management, and Iron Woman’s cold mix manufacturing in their Radcliff facility. Mr. Moreno oversees the implementation of efficient operations while retaining quality standards, enforces job site safety, prepares estimates for transportation projects, and develops key performance indicators to ensure quality. He is directly responsible for ensuring adherence to strict transportation regulations, is a solid problem-solver, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.

I have proudly served on the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado Board of Directors for the last three years in several capacities, but always with a focus supporting HCC membership and the growth of small businesses. During this past year, under my role as Vice President and co-chair of the Small Business Round Table, we created tools and held multiple sessions with business partners to discuss PPP, recovery grants, and COVID protocols and safety. We also organized a PPE giveaway and outreach event to deliver free equipment to the construction industry. I am honored to also serve as an active participant in the Legislative Committee where we earnestly amplify the voice of small businesses on crucial topics such as unbundling of contracts, T&M, and retainage, directly driving changes needed for small businesses in our Colorado construction community.
