Overview

As a current HCC member, I understand the importance of what this organization stands for and means to the local small, woman and minority business community. I have dedicated over 17 years of my career for the betterment of this community and intend to utilize my expertise to continuously innovate and create a level playing field for all small, woman and minority trade partners in the Colorado market. I have a strong track record of delivering sustainable results in inclusive economic development, inclusive employee outreach and development, supplier diversity, equity workforce development, internal and external community relations, and diverse recruiting. Martell is also involved in many professional, community, and civic organizations locally in Denver, and beyond. My extensive background and expertise in commercial construction, inclusive contracting, minority compliance monitoring, P3’s, community workforce development, and diversity efficacy for internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives would lend itself to be a key resource for the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado and the future initiatives to come. My interest in the board are: -Lend my expertise in taking high level concepts and building comprehensive, sustainable programming for small, women, and minority contractors. -Employ and enhance relevant needs assessment methodologies and executing innovative strategies to promote program efficacy for the business community the HCC serves -Enhance and engage the Entrepreneurial minded with experience in business development, and capacity building for the greater success of the Denver business community.
